Deposits Policy

A deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of booking depending on the scope of work.

Deposits secure allocated time in our diary and cover preparatory costs.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must contact us at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled booking will result in the deposit being non-refundable.

If Tint Tech Nottingham cancels your booking due to unforeseen circumstances (including staff illness or operational issues), your deposit will be refunded in full or transferred to a rescheduled date.

Warranty & Workmanship

Window tinting workmanship is covered by a lifetime warranty against peeling, bubbling, or fading (excluding damage caused by misuse, accident, or external interference).

All other services (including vehicle wraps, dechroming, and wheel refurbishment) are covered by a 12-month workmanship warranty, unless otherwise agreed in writing at the time of booking.

Warranty work is limited to rectification of the original service only.

Refunds will only be considered if we are unable to resolve the issue after reasonable attempts to rectify the concern.

Travel costs, fuel costs, loss of earnings, vehicle hire, or recovery charges are not covered under warranty.

Paintwork & Vehicle Condition Disclaimer

Customers must understand that vehicles with non-factory paintwork, prior repairs, corrosion, filler, ageing lacquer, or refinished panels carry inherent risks during vinyl wrap, tinting, or dechroming processes.

Paint, lacquer, trims, or panels may fail if they were previously repaired or not applied to manufacturer standards.

Tint Tech Nottingham cannot accept responsibility for:

  • Paint or lacquer lifting

  • Clear coat failure

  • Previously repaired panels failing

  • Weak trims or aged plastics breaking during removal

By proceeding with the booking, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

Wheel Refurbishment Disclaimer

Refurbishment Quality

Wheel refurbishment restores appearance but does not make wheels brand new. Minor imperfections may remain depending on the original condition.

Additional Repairs

Buckled wheels may require straightening.
Cracked wheels may require welding.
These services incur additional charges.

Diamond Cutting

Diamond-cut wheels are supplied with a six-month warranty.

Due to the machining process and previous refurbishments, slight pattern variations may occur. Wheels that have previously been refurbished may not be capable of achieving full OEM finish due to material limitations.

Powder-Coated Finishes

Standard powder-coated refurbishments are covered by a 12-month warranty.

All work is carried out to the highest possible standard within the structural and cosmetic limitations of the wheel.

Wheel Security & Mandatory Re-Torque Requirement (Critical Safety Notice)

Where wheels have been removed and refitted by Tint Tech Nottingham, the customer must ensure wheel nuts or bolts are re-checked and re-torqued within 10–50 miles of driving.

This is a critical safety requirement.

Wheel fixings may settle due to vibration, heat cycles, coating thickness, and natural bedding between mating surfaces.

Failure to re-torque within this mileage window may result in wheel loosening, vehicle damage, serious injury, or death.

By collecting the vehicle, you acknowledge that:

  • You have been advised of the requirement to re-check wheel torque.

  • Responsibility for wheel security transfers to the vehicle owner upon collection.

  • Tint Tech Nottingham accepts no liability for failure to follow this instruction.

If you cannot arrange this re-check yourself, you must contact us or a qualified garage immediately.

Trim Removal

Certain services require removal of trims, badges, lights, handles, or interior panels.

While extreme care is taken, clips and fittings may be fragile due to age or previous removal.

Replacement clips or fittings may incur additional cost where necessary.

Aftermarket & Customer-Supplied Parts

Where customers supply their own parts, Tint Tech Nottingham cannot guarantee:

  • Fitment

  • Compatibility

  • Finish

  • Longevity

Warranty does not apply to customer-supplied components.

Labour time remains chargeable if incorrect parts are supplied and workshop time has been allocated.

Pre-Existing Damage

Customers must inform us of any prior accident damage, repainting, corrosion, electrical faults, or known issues before work begins.

We are not responsible for failure of weakened, repaired, or previously damaged components.

Electrical Systems Disclaimer

Modern vehicles contain sensitive electronics and control modules.

While care is taken during all installations, Tint Tech Nottingham is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing electrical faults

  • Software errors

  • Issues caused by previous modifications

  • Hidden wiring faults

Additional diagnostic time may be chargeable where unrelated faults arise.

Vehicle Collection

Vehicles collected by third parties are released at the customer’s risk once handed over.

We strongly recommend inspecting the vehicle prior to leaving the premises.

Custom Orders

Special-order or custom-made parts are non-refundable once ordered.

Deposits for custom builds become non-refundable once materials have been purchased.

Payment Terms

Full payment is due upon completion before the vehicle is released.

Failure to pay may result in the vehicle being retained until payment is made in full.

We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on overdue balances in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Legal Compliance

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any vehicle modifications comply with UK road laws.

Tint Tech Nottingham is not liable for:

  • MOT failures

  • Insurance invalidation

  • Police enforcement

  • Fines or penalties resulting from modifications

Media Consent

We may photograph or film vehicles for marketing and social media purposes unless the customer requests otherwise in writing prior to work commencing.

No personal data will be shared.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including:

  • Supplier delays

  • Shipping issues

  • Extreme weather

  • Power outages

  • Equipment failure

  • Unforeseen operational issues

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
